EYE OF SAHARA

The picture below shows the Eye of Sahara which can be seen in Mauritania in Africa. It’s located in a remote area and a very less chances for local people to have noticed it. Also the structure cannot be clearly seen once you are on ground. It was not well-known until some astronauts from space reported about its structure.

The Eye of Sahara is also commonly known as the Richat Structure. It is a huge circular formation thought to be a crater or a result of meteorite impact. Recent research suggests that it is formed due to erosion. It has a diameter of bout 40 kilometres.

It can be seen in as a clear view in Google Earth. The view is brilliant and amazing, so just try it.
